Best Investment - "Being able to buy our first place. It was a two-bedroom flat in east Dulwich which we bought in 1999. It was part of a three-storey Victorian property and was in a poor condition [...] We bought it for £90,000 with a £30,000 deposit [...]. We sold it two years later for £150,000. I used to think it was going to be a huge tie to have a mortgage, but it wasn't. It's more of a tie not having a property. At least if you're on the property ladder you have the option of selling."
