Hi I’m Beverley and I run Olivia Colman Online, I am a big fan of British film and comedy and have been a fan of hers for a long time. When a friend suggested making the site I felt sure she would already have a site and was shocked to find she didn’t! I am 30 and live in the Midlands, I am a self confessed geek and very proud of it! I have multiple sclerosis and I would appreciate it if you could take some time to look at the page about the illness thank you.
7th February 2009, I went to see Olivia in a play last night and this is what happened:
Got to the theatre and our seats literally moments before the play
started thank god! Me, Louise and my partner Lee had a brilliant time when we went to London to see Olivia in England people very nice!
The play follows
immigrants to Britain through the ages, the set is incredible and
instead of changing scenes all the time they project onto a large piece
of wood which opens and closes in different ways to fit the scene. This
play is amazing and about 100% difficult to describe especially as
tired as I am so I will have to give up sorry guys.
After the
play me Lou and Lee went to the stage door it was FREEZING and we were
the only ones because it is so early in the run still. The security men
let us wait inside thank god but we were still freezing! We waited
about 2 hours and then there she was!
She said we should have
called her from the bar but who would do that? She has seen my site and
really liked it!!! She was so happy to meet me and loved the present I
got for her. On my theatre poster she wrote 'To Beverley lovely to meet
you next time you will have to come and have a drink love Olivia
Colman' and she also signed my peep show scripts!!
She was so
kind and funny and I felt so incredibly lucky to have met her after
being a fan for so long. Lee is currently uploading the photo of me and
her so I will post that everywhere I am sure!!
By the time we
got back to Louise's after a wonderful magical mystery tour of London
from her Dad, it was about 1am. We got home about 4am and went straight
to bed so tired and in a lot of pain. I am really paying for it today
but it was so worth it! I loved seeing Lou and her parents and the play
was ace and also I GOT TO MEET OLIVIA!!!!!!!!!!!
**This a fansite
which is not affiliated with Olivia in any way nor do I have a way to
contact her sorry. I also want to say that the charity I have chosen to
share here was because I have this illness and is not a charity Olivia
herself advocates.
