| Hi just so you know, the full program for the 63rd Edinburgh International Film Festival (EIFF) was announced and this years Special Screening/World premiere film happens to be Le Donk. Shane Meadows' first '5-Day-Feature' project will receive its world premiere on the 23rd of June. starring Olivia Colman and Paddy Considine. 2nd June 2009 ~ I recieved this email a couple of days ago and had to share it, thank you Hugh:
| Hi, I just thought I would drop you a line to say that the recording of two episodes of season three of Hut 33 took place last night at the BBC Radio Theatre in Broadcasting House. I was in the audience and thought you might like to know that Olivia has radically altered her hair style - it is bleached blonde, short and spiky now. Maybe for another role? Olivia clearly has great fun playing Minka (my favourite character in the outstanding show) and waved and grinned at the audience during re - takes (she has quite a few Polish words in one of the two episodes, and fluffed them a few times - which was quite understandable - in fact the audience laughed all the more when she did). Hut 33 is picking up a sizable cult following - there was a huge queue outside of Broadcasting House, and I was quite surprised that my group managed to get in, as I know they issue far more free tickets than there are seats in the theatre, which only holds around 200 people. Series 3 is not due for transmission on Radio 4 until the first week in October; The Producer told us that this is because the cast are all working on other projects and unavailable until late August / early September when the remaining four episodes of the series will be recorded. I hope to attend these in due course. I could not take any photos inside the theatre, as the BBC are incredibly strict about security. 26th April 2009 ~ I received an email from Freud Communications are PR’ing this year’s British Academy Television Awards, which are being held this Sunday 26th April. They are selling tickets to the ceremony, not the afterparty at £50 each its a great way to support Olivia at this important event for her as she is nominated in a number of categories. You must be 18 or over to attend or with a chaperone, and its just a great way to rub shoulders with some amazing actors on the red carpet! To buy tickets

Brand New Series: Naomi (Lily Loveless) thinks she has the world worked out, and puts people into pigeonholes: her hippy mum (Olivia Colman); adoring Emily (Kathryn Prescott); Cook’s (Jack O’Connell) insulting misogyny; and her politics teacher Kieron’s (Ardal O’Hanlon) flattery. She thinks she has them all sussed, and that only she can see the truth. But the impending student elections leave her at a loss, and her insecurities get the better of her. The trust and confidence inspired by a friend encourage her to stand up to her arch rival, the antithesis of everything she stands for, as she and Cook go head to head, but Naomi learns that nothing is black and white any more. 4DVD have announced the UK Region 2 DVD release of Peep Show Series 5 on 16th June 2008 priced at £19.99. The fifth outing of this multi-award-winning, critically acclaimed comedy series starring David Mitchell and Robert Webb comes to DVD just under two weeks after the final episode is broadcast on Channel 4. Extras include behind-the-scenes with writers Sam Bain and Jesse Armstrong, a guided tour through Mark and Jeremy’s prolific love lives with The Peep Show Relationship Tree, existing scenes from Series 5 shot entirely from Sophie’s (Olivia Colman) point of view as well as a whole host of deleted scenes.

5th May 2008 ~ Olivia has begun filming a new BBC2 sitcom along with Meera Syal called 'Beautiful people'
| Meera Syal is teaming up with Peep Show star Olivia Colman in Syal's first comedy role since The Kumars At No 42. Beautiful People goes into production for transmission later this year on BBC2. The show is set in 1997 and is centred around an eccentric family. Colman plays a mother called Debbie, described by the BBC as "a whirlwind of matriarchal warmth in killer heels". Syal plays family lodger, blind Aunty Hayley. Based on the childhood memoirs of window-dresser extraordinaire and writer Simon Doonan, the sitcom follows his childhood reminiscences of escaping suburban Reading to live amongst the Beautiful People, the BBC said. But this is before coming to the realisation that true beauty is closer than we think. Alongside Syal and Colman, the cast includes Aidan McArdle, Layton Williams and Samuel Barnett. And Luke Ward-Wilkinson from Wild At Heart plays a 13-year-old boy called Simon, who along with best friend Kyle cannot open a fridge door without belting out a show tune. April 3rd 2008 ~ I found out today that Olivia will be in a new romantic sit com on ITV1 called Mr Eleven
March 21st 2008 ~ Channel 4 have released some programmes to be available to download from itunes. You can now get Peep Show and Black Books featuring Olivia at around £10 a series
March 14th 2008 ~ Olivia will be taking the lead role in Paddy Considine's new film Tyrannosar he told Empire magazine:
